The Anaheim Police Explorer Post is a program for young men and women interested in learning about careers in the field of law en- forcement. The program is designed to offer students between the ages of 14 and 20 the opportunity to be involved in community activities, make new friends and gain valuable knowledge. Explorers will:
Attend weekly meetings (in a classroom environ- ment) where they learn about the variety of job opportunities available to them.
Hear guest speakers from municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies describe the qualifications and duties of their jobs.
Learn through first-hand “on the job” experiences in the field, working non-hazardous assignments with Police Officers.
Provide valuable services to the residents of Anaheim and Orange County. Including directing traffic, and providing tours of the police department.
